No matter how much you know, there’s always so much more to learn. Sir Francis Bacon said it best; knowledge is power. If anyone knows this to be true, it’s our outstanding VCBO team. When there’s an opportunity to learn, we take it!
In the early days of September, our VCBO community hosted an ICAA (Institute of Classical Architecture and Art) Evening Salon event in our office. Refreshments were served and conversation was abundant. Among our VCBO community members in attendance were designers, clients, landscape architects, artists and interior designers from all over Utah. The subject of the event was, “Exploring the Language of Sacred Architecture.” Hosting the event was VCBO’s designer and research leader, Brandon Ro, who both organized and prepared this fantastic learning experience. With so many talented and intellectual individuals under one roof, there was heavy discussion and even some debate surrounding the various aspects of sacred architecture. There was a great deal of valuable information supplied with numerous perspectives to consider from the discussion amongst our experts working in the fields of architecture, design and art. To say the evening was a success would be an understatement and we are thirsty for more! For those interested in Brandon’s lecture, click here.
